A useful quote starts with the same home

Two cleaning prices can look very different while describing different work. A furnished apartment with one bathroom, an empty house after a move and a home with several months of buildup are not interchangeable jobs. Before comparing totals, write down the approximate square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, current condition and rooms you want included. That gives each provider the same starting point.

Then ask whether the number is a fixed visit price, an estimate or an hourly rate. An hourly price needs an expected duration and a team definition. A two-person team for two clock hours is different from two labor hours. Neither model is automatically better; the important question is what you will receive and how any changes are approved.

What published local pricing actually tells you

On November 5, 2026, Boardwalk Cleaning’s own pricing page listed standard cleaning at $90 per hour for a two-person team and deep or move services at $95 per hour. Those are that company’s published offers, not an independently measured Austin average or a quote for your property. Check the current page and final estimate before relying on them. [1]

NexWorks publishes introductory maintenance-cleaning offers of $139 weekly, $149 every two weeks and $169 monthly, per visit. The stated base scope is a maintained home up to 900 square feet, two bedrooms and one bathroom. Applicable tax is included in these published base prices. Larger homes, initial deep cleans and heavy buildup require a separate quote. These offers cannot be compared with a competitor’s larger-home or deep-clean estimate without adjusting the scope. [2]

Put extras beside the base price

Ask about oven interiors, refrigerator interiors, inside cabinets, interior windows, linen changes and laundry separately. An attractive headline price becomes less useful if the tasks you need are outside it. Also record whether supplies, parking or travel are included and how the provider handles an unexpected condition discovered on arrival.

For example, compare two written proposals for the same apartment rather than comparing one company’s base plan with another company’s fully customized quote. Keep a simple column for base work, agreed extras, applicable taxes, travel and the final total. Do not assume a product preference, pet-related task or special surface treatment is included simply because it came up in a message.

Choose the proposal you can actually review

A complete proposal identifies the date or scheduling process, covered rooms, exclusions, total price and change or cancellation terms. A preferred date submitted in a form is not the same as a confirmed visit. Save the written scope so both parties can review the same agreement if priorities change.

NexWorks currently accepts cleaning and Wash & Fold inquiries across Austin, Houston and Dallas–Fort Worth target areas. Actual staffed ZIP codes and schedules must be confirmed. Paid cleaning plans remain disabled until those details are established; a website request does not take payment or reserve a cleaner. Start with the facts about your space, then compare the final written proposals rather than choosing solely by the smallest headline number. [2]

Keep a decision record

Keep the version of each quote you actually compared. Note its date, home details, assumed condition, team or visit basis, and approved extras. If you later change the requested rooms or add laundry, ask for an updated total rather than comparing the revised job with the earlier figure. This simple record makes a future renewal easier to review and avoids treating an old introductory example as a standing price for different work.
